It's hard not to believe people when they say Kerala is the most serene state in India. Nestled on in South of the country, this slither of a state is famed for its 600 km long coastline and beaches, it's winding and peaceful backwaters, and it's fiercely protected wildlife and nature reserves. It's historic city of Kochi (Cochin) has been a port since 1341, and continues to be the epicentre of history and culture of the state.
